Inter consider Wan-Bissaka as Dumfries replacement

The contract between Denzel Dumfries and Inter Milan expires next year and unless an agreement over a new deal for the Dutch right-back is reached, the club will put him on the transfer market this summer to avoid the risk of losing his services for free in 2025. If so, the Serie A leaders will obviously need a new name in their ranks to cover the right flank, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the first name on the list is currently Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Manchester United.

Wan-Bissaka is a product of the academy at Crystal Palace, and he left Selhurst Park to join United in 2019 for a fee exceeding €50 million, but now, Inter believe they could get a deal done for no more than €15m. The 26-year-old is believed to be keen to gain some experience somewhere outside the Premier League, but his potential move to Inter will obviously depends on what happens with Dumfries.

The Dutch international is said to be asking for twice as much as he is earning now, which would make €5 million per year, and Inter, for the time being, aren’t willing to go that high.
