A bit of unexpected news are coming out of Italy. Inter Milan, who have been linked with a lot of players in recent months, are now being linked with a move for a Gent forward. According to Calciomercato, Inter are considering trying to sign Jonathan David. The Canada international has had an immense season in Belgium, where the campaign has been stopped and potentially concluded, as the Belgian football authorities are still trying to decide whether the league will be continued at all, amid coronavirus pandemic.
But whatever might be the case and whatever they opt for, it will be obvious that probably the best performer throughout the Belgian Jupiler league was David. He attracted attention from clubs from all over the Europe, by scoring 23 goals and adding 10 assists for Gent this season.
Now, David is keen to test himself in a bigger and better league, but Gent will try to test interested clubs, including Inter, by asking for somewhere in the region of 25 million euros for the 20-year-old.
