Inter Milan are set to offer a new deal to star striker Rodrigo Palacio, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The experienced forward has a contract until June 2015 at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and with the 2014 World Cup coming up, the Nerazzurri are eager to extend his deal as soon as possible.
As a result, they are set to open talks with the player’s representatives over a two-year extension with an option for a further year.
Rodrigo Palacio has been an instant success in Serie A, having spent three very successful seasons at Genoa before joining Inter in the summer of 2012.
The striker quickly developed into a key player for the Nerazzurri, and went on to score 23 goals in 50 Serie A outings.
Palacio added another 12 goals in 15 matches in other competitions, which saw him return into international reckoning. The 32-year-old has featured in eight 2014 World Cup qualifiers for Argentina.
