(GSM) – Massimo Moratti wasn’t pleased with Internazionale’s performance against Genoa last night.

The club president is upset with the lack of character his side showed against the Rossoblu.

Inter were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw at the Giuseppe Meazza and failed to capitalise on Roma and Milan doing the same on Saturday evening.

“I don’t believe that the team had the match with Chelsea in their heads, seeing that it’s 10 days away, but I do believe that more than anything Inter faced the game with less character than usual,” said Moratti.

“We didn’t start with the right backbone, the right character. At times it doesn’t come.

“It was like that in the first half. Then in the second it went well but one half is not enough to win a game.”

Moratti also had strong words for young striker Mario Balotelli who has been making noises about a new and improved contract to reflect his recent performances.

“No one has spoken about it as Mario already has his contract. I don’t know where this story came from,” Moratti concluded.
