(GSM) – Internazionale duo of Esteban Cambiasso and Júlio César are a major doubt for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
Argentine stalwart Cambiasso suffered a hamstring injury problem during Friday night’s 1-0 win over Genoa in Serie A and he was forced off after only 19 minutes.
Cambiasso underwent scans on Saturday and they revealed damage to his left thigh which has put his participation against Spurs in doubt.
But Inter boss Rafael Benítez will be frustrated by the developments as goalkeeper César is also a doubt after sustaining an almost identical injury on his right leg.
Cesar’s fitness problem is not thought to be as serious as Cambiasso’s but Inter will still be concerned ahead of what is expected to be a tough night at White Hart Lane.
