Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Inter Milan are casting admiring glances towards Barcelona midfielder Alex Song.
The Nerazzurri are in desperate need of midfield reinforcements, but have already missed out on one top target as Jeremy Toulalan extended his contract with Monaco.
And with their pursuit of Yaya Toure yet to gain momentum, Inter Milan are considering a summer swoop for Alex Song.
The 27-year-old is currently on loan with West Ham, and it looks as though the Hammers will not attempt to turn his loan deal into permanent move.
And with Song’s long-term future at Barcelona in doubt, Inter are ready to test the Catalans’ resolve with an official bid.
The Cameroon star was in fine form in the opening exchanges this term, but his performances dropped in the second part of the season.
The latest reports suggest Song will be leaving Barcelona at the end of the season and he may be ready to consider a move to Inter Milan.
