Inter eyeing Dzeko deal

Inter Milan are considering a summer move for Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko, according to the Mirror.

With the backing of new owner Erick Thohir, Inter have the financial muscle to reastablish themselves as a major force in European football, and the Indonesian business man sees Dzeko as the man to lead their charge.

The Serie A side have already secured the services of Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic for next season, and they are keen to continue strengthening as they aim to resurrect a title challenge following two finishes outside of the top five.

They are on course to buck that trend this year, as they currently sit in fifth place though they are twenty-eight points behind leaders Juventus.

Walter Mazzarri’s men have the chance to leapfrog fourth place Fiorentina on Saturday when they take on Verona at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi, and can be backed at 23/20 for the win.
