Serie A strugglers Inter Milan appear to be considering a summer bid for Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti, according to Tuttosport.
The Nerazzurri are still in talks with Samir Handanovic over a new and improved deal, but with the Slovenian holding out for a €3 million yearly wage, the reality is he is much closer to a summer exit at the moment, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Roma showing interest.
As a result, Inter Milan are in the market for a new shot-stopper, and they have so far been linked with Sergio Romero and Petr Cech.
However, the latest reports suggest they are weighing up a summer move for Lazio’s Federico Marchetti, who has just over a year left on his deal at Stadio Olimpico.
The 32-year-old not only boasts a wealth of experience at the highest level, but only earns €1.2 million per campaign, and there is a good chance the Nerazzurri will attempt to prize him away from the capital.
