Inter eyeing Hatem Ben Arfa

Serie A high-flyers Inter Milan are hot on the trail of Nice winger Hatem Ben Arfa, La Gazzetta dello Sport has suggested.

The Nerazzurri are not exactly spoilt for options in the final third and they appear determined to recruit the France international at the earliest opportunity.

Inter Milan scouts plan to watch Ben Arfa in tomorrow’s derby match against Nice, despite the fact that the highly rated footballer is deemed doubtful for the game.

Hatem Ben Arfa did brilliantly to kick-start his career following a disappointing spell in England, and he even played himself back into the first team plans of France coach Didier Deschamps.

The 28-year-old has been in scintillating form this season, bagging 7 goals in 15 Ligue 1 starts, as he clearly rediscovered the form that had seen him become one of the country’s hottest prospects.

Hatem Ben Arfa recently admitted that he wouldn’t mind staying at Allianz Riviera beyond the current season, but the lure of top clubs may prove difficult to resist.
