Serie A leaders Inter Milan have rekindled their interest in Marseille star Lassana Diarra, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri had explored the possibility of signing the highly rated footballer earlier this year, but he eventually moved to Stade Velodrome.
And with Diarra having largely impressed since returning into action, Inter Milan seem ready to launch a fresh assault.
It remains to be seen whether Roberto Mancini will make his move in January or wait until the end of the season, and much will depend on whether any of the central midfielders currently at his disposal leave this winter.
Lassana Diarra did sign a four-year deal with l’OM, but he was reportedly promised he would be allowed to leave at the end of the season in case of a good offer.
His suitors Inter Milan remained top of the league in spite of the home loss to Lazio, and they look a good bet at 7/1 to lift the league trophy.
