Serie A strugglers Inter Milan are being linked with a summer move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri aim to recruit a high-profile central midfielder and they had hoped to sign Jeremy Toulalan from Monaco.
But, after the France international decided to extend his stay at Stade Louis II, they have turned their attention towards PSG’s Thiago Motta.
The 32-year-old enjoyed two very successful years with the Nerazzurri, lifting two Serie A trophies and a Champions League title and he may be interested in a return to San Siro.
However, it would appear as though Motta is still regarded an important member of the squad at Paris Saint-Germain and he may not be available for sale next summer.
Inter Milan will be looking to end a barren run of results when they face Hellas Verona on the road, with the Nerazzurri 6/5 to win at Bentegodi.
