Inter Milan are believed to have reached an agreement with reliable defender Stefan de Vrij and are expected to open negotiations with Lazio over the summer transfer.
The Nerazzurri are in the market for a new centre-back and have already been linked with the likes of Kostas Manolas and Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport are however reporting that Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij is the top target for Inter and that a deal in principle has already been reached with the Dutch centre-back, who has given the nod to Nerazzurri management.
De Vrij is believed to have agreed on a five-year contract which would see him earn €3 million per season, plus bonuses.
Dutch defender is contracted to Lazio until 2018 and Biancocelesti are unwilling to let their key man go on the cheap.
Lazio will demand a transfer fee that is in the region of €30 – €35 million.
