A report in the Independent claims Inter Milan are ready to go in for Real’s Gareth Bale, should the Madrid club decide to sell the winger.
Bale’s representatives, as well as the player himself, have been firm in their stance that his future remains at Santiago Bernabeu, but the report says it is “known” that Real wish to change the shape of their front line. Their prime target is Neymar, and they will be well-aware that such a deal would require some sales to be made.
Real held the belief that they could easily do business on that front with Manchester United, but Independent now say, quoting their own sources, that the Old Trafford club have no interest in the Welshman. The reasons for that are the player’s age and potential price, as well as the signing of Alexis Sanchez in January.
Should his wage demands and Real’s asking price come down somewhat, the interest of some Premier League clubs might be (re)ignited, but at the moment, only Inter seem to be in the picture.
