Italian giants Inter Milan are readying a new assault on Sampdoria striker Eder, according to Tuttosport.
The Nerazzurri have been in the market for a new centre forward, but it is team’s disappointing attacking performance against Carpi that could make all the difference.
Namely, Roberto Mancini openly criticised his strikers for failing to convert a host of clear-cut chances and he is now almost certain to recruit a new forward by the end of the January transfer window.
The latest reports suggest that Sampdoria hotshot Eder has emerged as his number one target, with the Italy international in excellent form this season.
Even with the Blucerchiati struggling, the 29-year-old has scored 12 goals in 19 Serie A appearances, so no wonder he is heavily linked with a big club move.
His suitors Inter Milan now trail leaders Napoli six points, and are available at 50/1 to lift the coveted trophy.
