Inter Milan are stepping up their efforts to sign Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo from Galatasaray, according to Tuttosport.
The Nerazzurri have just completed the signing of Geoffrey Kondogbia, but with Mateo Kovacic and Fredy Guarin being linked with summer exits, they aim to recruit another quality midfielder.
Tuttosport has learned that Inter are eyeing a cut-price deal for Galatasaray star Felipe Melo.
Seeing as the 31-year-old will be out of contract in a year’s time, it is believed the Turkish giants would settle for a fee between €4m and €5m.
And with Melo unlikely to ask more than €3 million per season, Inter are expected to close the deal in the coming days.
The Brazilian has spent last four years at Galatasaray, bagging 15 goals in 112 Super Lig outings.
He had previously represented Fiorentina and Juventus in Italy, making 87 league appearances and scoring 6 goals in the process.
