According to Talk Sport, Inter Milan are starting talks with Nigel de Jong as they try to lure him away from Manchester City.
De Jong, who joined the Citizens in 2009 started just eleven matches in the Premier League last season and could be after a move away from the Ethiad Stadium.
It has been suggested that it could take up to £8 million to secure the Dutch internationals signature who just last week expressed his desire to stay at the Premier League Champions.
Roberto Mancini is sure to be reluctant to let his holding midfielder go though as he is ever reliable and adds a great balance to the squad.
Despite Inter having a poor campaign last time out, finishing in sixth position in Serie A and not being in any European competition this season, they will still be a massive attraction to any player.
Andrea Stramaccioni will be taking charge of his first full season at the helm of the Italian giants and he will be looking to build a side that is capable of challenging for the league title.
De Jong could be the stability he is after in the middle of the park and is a player that seems well suited to the Italian game.
