Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan are said to have joined the pack of suitors hoping to sign Benfica star performer Alejandro Grimaldo in the summer.
The 23-year-old defender came through the Barcelona academy before joining Benfica in 2016. The attack-oriented left-back has emerged as one of the key players for the Portuguese heavyweights and has been in impressive form this season.
Grimaldo has thus far made 20 appearances in the Portuguese top division, scoring three and assisting further five goals.
Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo is suggesting Grimaldo’s flying form has alarmed plenty of high-profile European sides with Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Manchester City and Napoli all said to be chasing him.
The latest in line of clubs interested in Grimaldo is Inter Milan, who could be reuniting with Jose Mourinho at the end of the current season.
Nerazzurri are currently sitting in third place in the Serie A standings and are fancied at 4/11 betting odds to grab the Champions League spot for the next season.
