New club owner Erick Thohir is likely to make considerable funds available for the upcoming transfer window, with club officials already working on potential signings.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Hellas Verona starlet Jorginho is one of the first names on their hit-list.
The Nerazzurri plan to further rejuvenate their midfield area and they believe the 21-year-old would be an excellent addition to the squad.
The only problem is that the youngster has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe, having been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus and Fiorentina, among other clubs.
Brazilian-born Jorgingho, who has pledged his allegiance to Italy, has been in scintillating form this season, notching 5 goals in 8 Serie A fixtures.
Having won their last three league matches, Hellas Verona are 7/1 to extend their winning run at Giuseppe Meazza.
