Inter join race for Robben
Inter Milan are the latest club to have been linked with a summer move for Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben, reports Bild.
The Dutch forward is unhappy with his status at Alianz Arena and is hoping to leave the club in the summer transfer window.
He will have no shortage of offers, with first Galatasaray and now Inter Milan also joining the race for the highly rated footballer.
The Neroazzurri are desperate to reinforce their attack in the summer, and a player of Robben’s qualities would be more than welcome.
His huge experience would also be a big asset for the youthful Inter side, but luring the player to Giuseppe Meazza will be no easy task.
Inter had an €18 million bid for Robben rejected last summer, but there is every chance the Neroazzurri will return for the Netherlands international in the upcoming transfer window.
Napoli line up Damiao to replace Cavani
Napoli are weighing up a summer bid for Internacional striker Leandro Damiao, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Azzurri are bracing themselves for life without Edinson Cavani and they have made the Brazilian striker their number one target in the summer transfer window.
Next moves will obviously depend on whether the Uruguayan leaves at the end of the current campaign, but club chiefs want to be prepared for when Cavani is finally sold.
Leandro Damiao is keen to join a top European side in the summer and Napoli certainly falls into the category.
The 23-year-old was on the verge of joining Tottenham in the January transfer window, but the deal eventually fell through.
Damiao remains one of the most prolific strikers in Brazil’s top flight, having scored 68 goals in 117 league fixtures.
Arsenal have bid rejected for Rui Patricio
Arsenal have failed in their attempt to sign Sporting Lisbon keeper Rui Patricio, Daily Star has revealed.
It was suggested few days ago that the Lions had rejected a €10 million bid for the highly rated keeper from an unnamed club from England.
According to Daily Star, the club in question is Arsenal, who are hot on the trail of Patricio in their search to find a new number one.
A Bola seems to believe that the Gunners will not be put off by the recent setback and that they will return with an increased bid in the coming weeks.
Rui Patricio is widely regarded as one of the most talented keepers in European football and he is already a first team regular at Portugal national team.
The 25-year-old has spent his entire career at Sporting, making a total of 158 Primeira Liga appearances for the club.
