Inter join race for Shaqiri

Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Inter Milan are considering a late bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Nerazzurri finally look set to cash in on Ricky Alvarez and they plan to sign him a replacement in the coming days.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Bayern’s Sherdan Shaqiri is the number one name on their hit-list.

The problem is that Bayern want around €6 million for a season-long loan plus another €25 million for an outright sale, while the fact the Switzerland star is also on the radar of Juventus and Atletico Madrid certainly does not help.

In case the Nerazzurri fail in their pursuit of Shaqiri, they will probably turn their attention towards long-term target Giacomo Bonaventura.

The 25-year-old is ready to leave Atalanta for a big Italian club, although Fiorentina are believed to be in the mix as well.

Inter Milan start the new league campaign by facing Torino away and they are 11/8 to claim maximum points.
