Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly the favourites to sign Marseille left-winger Andre Ayew, according to various sources in France and Italy, Sky Sports understands.
Les Phocéens want € 18million (£14 million) for their Ghanaian ace, who has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and FC Barcelona in the past.
Ayew netted eight goals in 26 appearances (23 starts) in Ligue 1 for Marseille in 2011-12, while adding four goals and one assist in 9 UEFA Champions League matches.
The 22-year-old Ghana international has admitted that he would welcome a move to England, Spain, or Italy if Marseille decide to put him on the transfer market.
“I am looking forward to pre-season and seeing what will happen regarding my future,” said Ayew.
“Marseille is my home and I’m happy to be here. But if I have to leave to improve and the club get what they are looking for, who knows?
“Premier League, Spanish Liga or Serie A are all top leagues and to play there is to play against the best in Europe.”
Will Internazionale win the race to sign Andre Ayew this summer?
Greco joins Olympiakos
Leandro Greco has joined Greek club Olympiakos on a three-year contract, Sky Sports reports.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder ended his second spell with his boyhood club AS Roma following his first 20-appearance season in professional football.
He made 19 league appearances, including nine starts, for the Giallorossi last term, and also started one Coppa Italia fixture.
Playing time may have been hard to come by for Greco at the Stadio Olimpico in 2012-13, with Roma having signed USA international Michael Bradley from Chievo Verona.
“Olympiakos are a very important club in Greece and Europe and I am looking forward to giving my all in order to help them achieve their goals,” said Greco.
“I remember the fans of Olympiakos from when we came with Roma to play in Piraeus and I was impressed – they are amazing.”
Milan eyeing Micah Richards
AC Milan have joined Real Madrid in the race for Manchester City defender Micah Richards, according to talkSPORT.
Milan are in need of a replacement for Brazil international Thiago Silva, who joined French super club Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer, and Richards seems to be a viable option.
The 24-year-old played right-back for the Premier League champions last term. Despite standing at just 5’11”, Richards can also play centre-back, where he has proved to boss the aerial game in the past.
Now then, will Richards leave the Etihad Stadium during the summer transfer window?
