Italian media outlet Tuttosport has learned that Inter Milan have made Atletico Madrid’s Alessio Cerci their number one target.
New boss Roberto Mancini aims to sign a wide forward in the January window, with the former Torino star the first name on his wish list.
The problem is that Atletico Madrid might not be prepared to sell having only recruited the Italian in the summer, but the Nerazzurri, nonetheless, hope they can lure Cerci to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the New Year.
The 27-year-old has so far failed to make an impact at Vicente Calderon, making mere four substitute appearances in Spanish La Liga.
At the same time, Inter officials are looking at Dnipro hotshot Yevhen Konoplayanka, who should be available for a nominal fee given that his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
The Nerazzurri slipped to ninth in the league standings as they shared spoils with AC Milan at the weekend, and they can be backed at 5/1 for a top 3 finish.
