Inter Milan are hoping to recruit Cameroon midfielder Stephane M’Bia from QPR, reports Tuttosport.
The Nerazzurri are currently in talks with Rubin Kazan over Yann M’Vila, but they are also keeping close tabs on the Cameroon international.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a very successful loan spell with Sevilla last term, but with his contract set to expire in a year’s time, QPR are only interested in an outright sale.
And with the Rangers likely to request around €5 million for his services, it is hardly surprising Inter are showing interest.
Considering that club owners Erick Thohir and Tony Fernandes are close friends, reaching an agreement over the transfer fee is unlikely to be a problem, but Inter do not seem prepared to match M’Bia’s wage requests of €3 million per campaign.
They are ready to offer him a deal worth €2 million per season, so it remains to be seen if a progress can be made.
