Inter Milan are believed to be leading the race to sign Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure from Manchester City, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The player’s agent has revealed that his client will be leaving Etihad at the end of the season and he will have no shortage of offers ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, many believe that Inter Milan are in pole position having attempted to recruit Toure last summer.
Roberto Mancini is a big fan of the Ivory Coast international and the Nerazzurri hope the contacts they established a year ago will help them win the chase for the 32-year-old.
Manchester City probably did not regret making Yaya Toure the world’s highest paid footballer six years ago as he has since scored impressive 54 goals in 189 Premier League appearances, helping the Citizens lift two league titles in the process.
His suitors Inter Milan will attempt to keep their Champions League hopes alive when they host Torino on Sunday evening, with home win paying 3/4.
