Inter line up Veloso to replace Motta
Inter Milan want Genoa midfielder Miguel Veloso as a replacement for PSG-bound Thiago Motta, La Gazzetta dello Sport understands.
Thiago Motta has less than six months left on his deal with the Neroazzurri and he is highly unlikely to sign a contract extension.
The Brazilian yesterday revealed that he could join Paris Saint-Germain before the transfer window closed in January.
Inter will do everything they can to persuade the 29-year-old into staying at Meazza, but they have a replacement ready should he decide to leave the club in January.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Massimo Moratti has promised boss Claudio Ranieri that Genoa’s Miguel Veloso will join the Neroazzurri as a replacement for Thiago Motta.
The Portuguese midfielder is considered a key member of the side at Marrasi, but Genoa may not be able to refuse a big money offer.
Veloso has been in impressive form this season, and he even managed to score 2 goals in 17 Serie A appearances.
Juventus set to sign Martin Caceres
Juventus have agreed to sign Sevilla defender Martin Caceres on loan until the end of the season with an option to make the transfer permanent.
The Bianconeri have started negotiations with the La Liga outfit even before the January transfer window opened and they have finally reached an agreement.
Sevilla technical secretary Roberto Arrocha told radio program A Balon Parado that the club have reached an agreement with Juventus for Martin Caceres.
According to Arrocha, the Bianconeri will pay €1.5 million for a six-month loan, whereas they will be obliged to make the transfer permanent for another €8 million if they finish the Serie A campaign in top 6.
The Uruguayan defender is thus set for a second spell in Turin, having already played for Juventus on loan from Barcelona.
Caceres is capable of covering every position across the back line, but he is expected to be used as left-back at Juventus Arena.
The 24-year-old has featured in 14 La Liga games for Sevilla this term, scoring one goal in the process.
Rene Adler set for summer move to HSV
Bayer Leverkusen keeper Rene Adler has already agreed to join Hamburger SV, according to Sport Bild.
The highly rated shot-stopper has less than six months left on his contract at Bay Arena and if free to talk to interested clubs.
The Germany international has lost his starting place at Bayer after missing the start to the season through injury and is now considered a second choice keeper behind Bernd Leno.
Unhappy by his status at the club, Adler has ended negotiations regarding a new deal at Bay Arena and has already decided to leave the club when his contract expires in the summer.
According to Bild, Adler has agreed to sign for Hamburger SV and the transfer should be made official in the coming days.
The player, who failed to make a single Bundesliga appearance, is expected to replace Jaroslav Drobny at Imtech Arena.
