Inter Miami are getting ready to make their Major League Soccer debut on 29 February, when they will start their first ever season in professional football. For that, they have to prepare a whole squad and they are still in the process of signing new players. After being linked with numerous stars from European clubs, including Edinson Cavani, it looks like Inter Miami could be buying in La Liga.
According to Estadio Deportivo, the Florida-based franchise is interested in signing Real Betis winger Cristian Tello before the start of the season. The reports are suggesting Inter Miami and Betis are in advanced negotiations for the 28-year-old player, although it is also said that Celta and Getafe are interested in the player as well.
Tello’s rights are equally split between Betis and Barcelona, where he played from 2011-14 before Neymar’s arrival made him expendable. Tello had a two-year loan spell with FC Porto, before he moved to Fiorentina. Now it is said that Betis will want a $12m fee for Tello.
