Inter Milan are set to sign Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar from Sampdoria, the Blucerchiati have confirmed.
Sampdoria chairman Massimo Ferrero confirmed that the transfer was finalised, with Gianluca Caprari expected to move to Stadio Marassi.
“It’s done for Skriniar to Inter,” Ferrero told Radio Crc. “Meanwhile, we’ve taken Caprari.”
Il Corriere dello Sport claims that the transfer is worth €20 million and the player is already undergoing a medical in Milan before signing a five-year deal.
Skriniar had only joined Sampdoria in January 2016, having arrived from Zilina, but he quickly made a name for himself in Italian Serie A.
While he only made three league appearances during his first six months at the club, the centre-back featured in 35 Serie A fixtures last term, and he also represented Slovakia at the Under-21 European Championship in Poland this summer.
