Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Inter Milan are on the verge of signing Spanish midfielder Borja Valero from Fiorentina.
The Nerazzurri appear to have beaten AC Milan to the player’s signature having agreed a contract with the 32-year-old footballer.
However, Inter Milan have yet to reach an agreement with Fiorentina, as their latest offer is €2m short of Viola’s €7m valuation.
New Nerazzurri boss Luciano Spalletti is a big fan of Valero and he wants the Spaniard to become an integral part of his new squad.
Valero has so far been incredibly loyal to Fiorentina, spending last five years at Artemio Franchi, scoring 17 goals and setting up another 44.
