According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan are open to the idea making a move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani if they can’t convince Romelu Lukaku to sign on the dotted line. The Uruguay forward has been heavily linked with a move away from PSG for quite some time now, but this summer, it feels like a more realistic possibility than it ever has done before.
Of course, this Lukaku deal seems to be taking up most of Inter’s attention right now, so it’s smart of them to get a back-up plan arranged in case things don’t quite go their way.
In terms of a worst case scenario it does feel like Inter need to hurry things up a bit, because if not, they could be left with no major strikers if Icardi eventually does complete a move away from the San Siro this summer – which many fans expect to happen.
