Inter Milan duo set for January exit

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has suggested that Inter Milan plan to offload at least two footballers in the January transfer window.

The Nerazzurri are determined to continue the recent uptrend in fortunes and while they hope to sign few more quality footballers by the end of the month, they also aim to sell a couple of fringe players.

Defenders Andrea Ranocchia and Davide Santon are likely to be the first through the exit door, and they both have suitors in English Premier League.

The centre-back has already rejected several opportunities to move to England as he would rather continue his career elsewhere, but his teammate probably wouldn’t mind returning to the Premiership having enjoyed a successful spell with Newcastle United a couple of years back.

Burnley were believed to be readying an official proposal for Davide Santon, but the latest reports suggest that Clarets have cooled off their interest.
