Inter Milan are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum in the summer of 2021, according to FC Inter News. It has been reported by the Italian news outlet that Inter head coach Antonio Conte thinks that the former Newcastle United midfielder would fit into his system.
Wijnaldum has been on the books of Liverpool since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Newcastle United. The 30-year-old midfielder has established himself as a key player in the team and has been important in the club winning the Champions League and the Premier League.
The Dutchman is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season, and no new deal is in place yet. According to WhoScored, the 30-year-old has made 24 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring two goals in the process. Wijnaldum has also made five starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League for Liverpool this campaign, according to WhoScored.
