La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Inter Milan have joined the race for Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna.
As new owner Erick Thohir is expected to make considerable transfer funds available for the summer window, the Nerazzurri are already working on potential reinforcements.
The chairman himself recently confirmed Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic was on the verge of agreeing a deal to join Inter in the summer, and it appears another Premier League star could follow in his footsteps.
Namely, La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that the Nerazzurri are hot on the trail of Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna.
The Frenchman will be out of contract in the summer, but the problem is he is also wanted by a number of Europe’s top sides.
Should they fail to sign Sagna, Inter will turn to Hoffenheim’s Andreas Beck and Twente full-back Roberto Rosales.
The Nerazzurri play host to Cagliari in an attempt to revive their top 3 bid and they are 4/9 favourites for the win.
