Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Inter Milan are hot on the trail of Benfica defender Lisandro Lopez.
The Nerazzurri hope to add another central defender to their ranks and the Argentine has now emerged as a top target.
Inter Milan officials met with the player’s agent to discuss a possible deal, while they also need to reach an agreement with Benfica.
The Nerazzurri plan to sign Lopez on a season-long loan with an option to buy considering that he is no longer considered a first team regular at Benfica.
The 27-year-old only managed 29 league appearances since joining four years ago, while also enjoying a successful loan spell at Getafe.
