Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport is reporting that Serie A high-flyers Inter Milan are hot on the trail of Bologna forward Simone Verdi.
The former AC Milan youngster has started to show his potential, scoring 4 goals and producing as many assists in 12 league appearances this season.
Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has been following the 25-year-old for quite some time and he seems ready to make his move.
Following some good performances in Serie A, Verdi was handed his full Italy debut in the 2018 World Cup qualifier against FYR Macedonia and he has since continued the rich vein of form.
Inter Milan don’t have a quality back-up to star striker Mauro Icardi and they seem to believe that Verdi can do a good job.
