Inter Milan go after Schar

According to a recent report from Tuttosport, Inter Milan are planning on making a move for Newcastle United defender Fabian Schar.

The 28-year-old Swiss centre-back is one of the best known names on Tyneside but up to this point, the Magpies haven’t been able to live up to their reputation as one of the ‘biggest’ clubs in English football.

Inter, on the other hand, are making a strong push to become a relevant force both domestically and in Europe. Whether or not they’re able to get there in the next few years remains to be seen, especially given the turbulence that has been present at the club in recent times, but they do appear to be quite daring in the transfer market.

One way or another you’d have to think Schar will be looking elsewhere for a new home before too long, and he isn’t likely to get many better offers than Inter Milan.
