La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Inter Milan are readying a new assault on Lazio hotshot Stefan de Vrij.
The Dutch defender has just one year left on his current deal at Stadio Olimpico, and is almost certain to leave either in January or in the summer.
According to reports, De Vrij is ready to extend for another year, but only if a sensible release clause is included, which will make Inter’s job even easier.
The Nerazzurri are determined to bring the 25-year-old to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, but they could face stiff competition from other interested sides.
Despite missing a large chunk of the 2015/2016 campaign through injury, De Vrij quickly established himself as one of the leading centre-backs in Italian Serie A.
Following the 4-1 hammering of AC Milan, Lazio can be backed at 3/1 to achieve a top 4 finish.
