Inter Milan are considering a late swoop for Alexis Sanchez of Manchester United, according to Sky’s Italian branch.
The Chilean was recently very close to joining AS Roma on loan. The two clubs had agreed on a deal after Roma accepted to pay half of his wages, but the player refused the move.
Sanchez has been out of favor at Old Trafford for quite a while. On the other hand, Inter are still looking for a quality forward to play alongside Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, and after Edin Džeko renewed his contract with Roma for three more years, Sanchez became their number one choice.
He’s not, however, the only option they’re considering. Ante Rebic of Eintrach Frankfurt is on their list too, as are Timo Werner of RB Leipzig, Arkadiusz Milik of Napoli, and Fernando Llorente, who is a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
