Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan have joined the race for highly-rated RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita, according to reports from the Italian media.
Premier League outfit Liverpool have been heavily linked with the 22-year-old midfielder this summer, but the Bundesliga club rejected several offers from the Reds as they are unwilling to part ways with their key man this summer.
Despite ruling out the opportunity to pocket up to €80 million Liverpool were prepared to invest in the talented midfielder, RB Leipzig would be forced to settle for €50 million as early as next summer.
Namely, that is the amount of money stated as a release clause in Keita’s contract, which will be activated as of summer 2018.
Inter are believed to be paying grounds for the future transfer and have already approached the 22-year-old player with a proposal.
The Italian club are not the only one interested in grabbing hold of the versatile dynamo as French giants PSG are also rumoured to be monitoring Naby Keita.
