Inter Milan are lining up a January bid for Tottenham forward Erik Lamela, according to Tuttosport.
The Neroazzurri are keen on adding another attacker to the squad in January and while Ezequiel Lavezzi remains their primary target, they are also looking at his younger compatriot.
Lamela has utterly failed to prove his worth since joining Spurs from Roma in the summer, and he continues to be played out of position at White Hart Lane.
The 21-year-old is reportedly hoping to return to Italian Serie A, with Inter looking to agree a six-month loan with the player’s employers.
Lamela started his third Premier League game in the weekend’s 3-2 victory over Southampton, but he failed to make an impact despite spending an hour on the pitch.
Meanwhile, Spurs recorded a very important victory to move within four points of fourth-placed Everton, with Tottenham now 7/2 for a top 4 finish.
