La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Inter Milan are hot on the trail of Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick.
The 21-year-old only joined Sampdoria in the summer from Sparta Prague, but he has had a very positive start to his career in Italy.
Schick went on to score 6 goals in just over ten and a half hours of league football, catching the eye of top Italian clubs in the process.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio is determined to bring the forward to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the summer, and he is set to meet with the youngster’s official representative.
The Nerazzurri were looking to sign Sampdoria forward Luis Muriel, but have now turned their attention towards Schick, who should be much cheaper than the Colombian.
Inter Milan plan to sign a striker who would act as back-up to Mauro Icardi and they seem to believe that Shick would be able to do a very good job.
