Serie A outfit Inter Milan are believed to be in pole position to sign Italian winger Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri seem to have decided to offload underperforming Antonio Candreva and replace him with one of Italy’s hottest prospects.
While Domenico Berrardi, Matteo Politano and Simone Verdi are also on their radar, Federico Chiesa has emerged as Inter’s top target.
Napoli are also keen on the Viola starlet, but the player and his agents reportedly see Inter Milan as the better option.
La Gazzetta dello Sport believes that Fiorentina would consider offers in the region of €50-60 million, meaning the ball is now in the Nerazzurri’s court.
Federico Chiesa, 20, has so far shown a great deal of potential, having managed 9 goals and 7 assists in 63 Serie A appearances.
