President of the Suning Group, Zhang Jingdong, visited Real Madrid president Florentino Perez last weekend and the meeting of the two high officials of Europe’s two great clubs sparked plenty of speculations.

The Italian media believe the reason for Jingdong’s visit was his intention to personally wrap up a deal for the Colombian star James Rodriguez, who has been linked with Nerazzurri for quite some time already.

The Colombia international was close to leaving the club during summer, but stayed with Los Blancos to fight for his place under the Sun, but 11 La Liga appearances later it is becoming increasingly likely that James Rodriguez will be leaving Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the near future.

Having further fell down in the pecking order with Zinedine Zidane, James Rodriguez will be given the opportunity to make a move to Inter Miloan and become a leader of the new project Chinese owners are trying to build as they look to get Inter Milan back to their old glory.

Zhang Jingdong is keen to add signings that would add quality and brand value at the same time and James Rodriguez appears to be his first choice for the summer.
