Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan have opened negotiations with La Liga leaders Barcelona over a January loan deal for Rafinha.
Mundo Deportivo is reporting that the talks are progressing well and that the Brazilian midfielder could move to Italy over the next couple of days.
The 25-year-old is coming off from a serious knee injury that kept him on the sidelines since April and is looking for a chance to earn a regular playing time. He is facing huge competition for places at Camp Nou and is keen to move away from the club in an effort to revive his form.
Celta Vigo have also contacted the player but Inter Milan could prove to be a more exciting challenge for the player who is capable of filling a number of roles in the centre of the park and can play as a central midfielder, right winger or a slotted behind the strikers.
Inter Milan are said to be keen on Gerard Deulofeu as well but Barcelona are looking to sell the former Everton man on a permanent deal rather than send him on another loan spell.
