Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan have decided to step up the interest in Dinamo Zagreb starlet Filip Benkovic.
The highly-rated Croatia centre-back has been linked with a move to Nerazzurri for quite some time now and Sky Sport Italia now claims that the Italian side have taken the initial steps towards the defender.
Benkovic came up through the Dinamo Zagreb youth academy and is widely regarded as one of the most talented youngsters in Croatia.
He made 24 NHL appearances this season, scored four goals for his club and turned plenty of heads across Europe with Celtic and Borussia Dortmund believed to be among the clubs keeping a close tab on him.
The 21-year-old defender could be available for a fee in the region of €15 million.
