According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Inter Milan have cooled their interest in Everton star Lucas Digne.
This is reportedly because Everton aren’t interested in loaning him out or swapping him for any of Inter’s players, and instead only want to sell him if it means raising money for new additions. They’ll need to follow that path if they’re going to keep in line with the Financial Fair Play regulations, even if some other high-profile clubs never really seem to care all too much about it.
Digne hasn’t played since the start of December when the club was humbled by city rivals Liverpool. He’s been sorely missed for the Toffees and while it may sound dramatic, a return to form for him – and to the first team – could be the key behind Everton avoiding a relegation battle.
It seems unlikely, but you just never know in England’s top tier.
