Serie A giants Inter Milan are prepared to activate Patrik Schlik’s release clause as Nerazzurri are keen to wrap up the deal for the exciting Sampdoria starlet as soon as possible and avoid getting beaten by potential competition for his signature.
The Czech striker has scored nine goals for Sampdoria this season, despite making only six starts and has already alarmed a host of clubs.
La Gazzetta dello Sport is suggesting that Inter Milan are willing to pay €25 million to acquire Schlik’s services and let the 21-year-old remain with the Blucerchiati for the next season to continue his development, before joining the Beneamata in the 2018/19 season.
In addition to Patrik Schlik, Inter are thought to be working on a deal for Atalanta defender Alessandro Bastoni, who is valued at up to €15 million.
Bastoni would also be allowed to stay with Atalanta during the course of next season.
