Serie A outfit Inter Milan are reportedly stepping up their efforts to sign Benfica stopper Victor Nilsson Lindelof, according to Record.
It is no secret that the Nerazzurri are hot on the trail of the Sweden hotshot, while other top European clubs are keen as well.
However, it would appear as though Inter Milan lead the chase at the moment and they seem determined to bring the 22-year-old to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the January transfer window.
And while Benfica are ready to do a deal, they first want the player to sign a new contract, which is not that surprising when we know that his current release clause stands at €30 million.
The Eagles hope to increase said figure to €45 million, and thus ensure they get the best possible price for their prized asset.
Victor Lindelof has quickly become one of Europe’s most sought-after footballers, despite the fact that he has only made 25 league appearances for Benfica.
