Italian giants Inter Milan are hot on the trail of Bologna hotshot Simone Verdi, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed two very successful campaigns with Felsinei and he is almost certain to join a top Italian club at the end of the season.
Verdi rejected a January move to Napoli as he didn’t want to move clubs midway through the campaign, but the Azzurri as well as AS Roma are expected to rekindle their interest.
However, Il Corriere dello Sport claims that Inter Milan lead the chase for the highly rated winger as he is keen on returning to Milano.
It was at AC Milan that Verdi had begun his professional career, while he later enjoyed another spell with the Rossoneri, but never made a single league appearance for the club.
