Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho has been continuously linked with a move away from Portugal over the past couple of transfer windows.
The 26-year-old is a target for many a Europe’s top club and could once again be a subject of an intense transfer chase at the end of the current campaign.
According to the reports coming from the Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, the Serie A giants Inter Milan have emerged as one of the favourites to land the highly-regarded defensive midfielder.
Nerazzurri are facing a strong competition in a chase for his signature, however.
The holder of the European Championship medal has been watched by Arsenal and West Ham, with the latter failing in a number of bids for his services during the January transfer window.
The Hammers are expected to return with an offer this summer but Inter Milan could be a more tempting solution for a player of William Carvalho’s caliber, it is suggested.
