Inter Milan are prepared to match the release clause in Patrik Schick’s contract, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri are well aware of the fact that the Czech striker is on the radar of several high-profile sides and they seem ready to make their move.
Sampdoria are reportedly preparing a new deal for their prized asset that will see his release clause increased from €25m to €40m, but Inter Milan want to beat them to the player’s signature.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio is ready to match the player’s current release clause, and he is just waiting for the green light from the club owners.
If they do agree a deal for Schick, Inter Milan would allow the 21-year-old to finish the season at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
The talented forward took to Italian Serie A like duck to water, having bagged 10 goals in mere 9 league starts since arriving from Sparta Prague last summer.
